We’ve been patiently waiting for summer to arrive with some good weather and it’s finally here! This time of year always excites us with the promise of awesome festivals, parties and later evenings to enjoy!
We’re in the midst of festival season and we absolutely love festival inspired weddings and parties. Let’s set the scene – an open field or woods, with hanging lanterns and dripping lights over the trees, colourful streamers, striped tepees and quirky, rustic signage. There’s something about this festival vibe that makes people feel laid back, relaxed and up for a good party! There’s no harm in pinching some ideas from Coachella and Glastonbury before you plan your wedding or party!
Here are some photos from a beautifully decorated festival themed wedding that was created in a bride’s Grandma’s garden. It was one of Matt’s favourite weddings and you can see why in his blog here.
Trees were chopped down especially for the wedding ceremony and party so a lot of effort went in to making a family home their special wedding venue. Instead of chairs there were huge logs laid out with blankets for family and friends to perch on for the ceremony, there was a yurt (that was actually used at Glastonbury Festival!) for dining in and cool laterns and lights hanging from the trees. Sparklers ended the night with LOVE.
